LinkedIn Marketing Success

linkedin pot of goldI made $4,000[now $8,000 !]  from LinkedIn .  How?

Eight months ago, as a newbie, I set out to get involved.

Join
I joined 20 LinkedIn groups associated with the 'tradies' and the small
business community. I figured that 'getting involved' was to join in conversations, encourage others to contribute and bring interesting posts to the table for discussion. I did just that.

Engage
People responded, that they liked the way I always replied to everybody who
commented on any of my posts - they felt heard.

Drive traffic to your website.
My posts were links back to blog reports I had written over the last 3
years. They all had 'optin' forms for people to subscribe. Sometimes the humorous business reports worked; sometimes they fell on deaf ears. (I'm still learning.)

Encourage Email Subscribers.

Over the 3 previous years of regular posts, I had never ever had anybody subscribe to my blog. After 4 months on LinkedIn I was getting one a month (I was leaning to find the 'thought leaders' in the small business field and connect with them).linkedin smile

My subscriber rate improved to one each week and I got excited!

Emails You Can Trust

Along came Adrian. He subscribed to my humorous weekly email reports, but he and his plumbing business was 610 miles away from me in another state!

How could we work together?

Adrian began to email, asking me for help designing his ad campaigns, but
really he needed help getting into bigger firms, for more regular work.

I suggested we have a 'Skype' video meeting to assess his real needs.

He liked my free 'Small Business Assessment Questionnaire' we did and agreed
to commence my 'The Secrets of Getting In' course. Over the next 4 months,
(by Skype) he learnt a lot about boosting his local work - without
advertising.

He paid my fees gladly and we have become the best of friends.
He even gave me 4 referrals and he was not my only new client from LinkedIn.

LinkedIn works.

Hi Paul,

I just wanted to say that I’m usually busy in my business and my inbox gets lots of ‘newsletters’ from people. I don’t have time to read them – I usually delete them.

But your reports are different. I was sceptical at first, but they put a smile on my face (we must have a similar sense of humour). I find myself stopping to read them, for two reasons:

1. You add a ‘human’ face to your reports; I identify with the stories you tell, to make your point, and 2. They always contain useful hints and tips I can use in my business.

I appreciate your generosity with your ideas.

If you are considering subscribing to Paul’s reports, Please don’t hesitate, just do it – it’ll put a smile on your face and dollars in your bank.
